Research for the Best Php 40,000 Laptop

1. Lenovo G400 (Php 32, 995.00 )

The G400 features Intel’s Premium Dual-Core T2080 processor, and operates on Microsoft Disk Operating System (DOS). The Strip Black notebook comes in a sleek black cover and boasts a 14.1” WXGA high definition glossy widescreen display. This model is also equipped with Lenovo’s trademark One Key Recovery, which allows users to easily recover data in the event of a crash.
Communication and entertainment features include an integrated microphone, Realtek High Definition Audio and limited edition Power2Go 5.5, multimedia software that allow the user to record various forms of data.

2. HP COMPAQ Presario V3617 (Php 34,950.00)

Specs can be found here.

This is a new laptop that hasn't been reviewed. However, it's not totally new since it's still an extension of the HP Compaq line.

3. ACER Aspire 4520-401G12Mi (Php39,900.00)

Here are the specs for this stylish computer.

Like the Acer Aspire 4920 (covered in Oct07 issue), the Acer Aspire 4520 is also based on the Gemstone design, but it lacks the punch that Aspire 4920 had. It misses out on elegance, doesn't have the dedicated touch button for media playback, and the 3D logo on the top of the lid, which was the centre of attraction in the Aspire 4920 isn't there either.
Based on AMD Athlon 64 processor this 14.1 inch notebook comes with 1 GB of DDR2 RAM. It has a dedicated NVIDIA 7000m graphics card and scored well in our 3D Mark test but nothing extraordinary. We had troubles while trying to run most of the current generation games. The various connectivity options that this one has include Bluetooth, WiFi, FireWire, S-Video VGA, 4 USB ports, and a memory card reader. The odd design of touchpad buttons doesn't gel well with the overall white base and looks out of sync. Being a low cost option, we didn't expect it to perform exceptionally well, but it performed satisfactory; in fact it performed better than the Sahara EK50 (reviewed this month). At a price of 33k and the performance that it offers, this one is surely an enviable option that you can go for.
Review:
If you're thinking of buying online, go to PC Express or Tipid.com. However, I suggest you visit SM North's Cyberzone or your nearest computer dealer, like Villman, since all these models are available there.
